Android 16 Beta 3 update coming today

With Google’s next major OS, Android 16 is approaching faster than expected; the company itself shed light on the latest version being on the right timeline track of June 2025 rollout. While the Pixel owners are currently testing Android 16 beta 2.1 that fixes some frustrating bugs, the company teases that beta 3 will be arriving today.

The Android Developers took it to X to inform users that another beta channel of Android 16, namely Android 16 Beta 3 will land today, i.e. on 13th March

Therefore, it’s expected that the third beta channel of Android 16 will focus on introducing user-friendly changes and fixing a few crucial bugs and issues, of course.

Specifically, Google began the Android 16’s journey by dropping the first beta channel that brought about some useful enhancements and features such as Adaptive App and so on, which was then followed by the Beta 2 build that’s all about integrating various exciting camera features and customizations, including ultra HDR, motion photos and more.

Alternatively, Google released an additional Android 16 beta 2.1 version which aims to fix several important bugs or issues that were acknowledged within the previous version.

Now that Android 16 Beta 3 will be commencing today for all eligible Pixel smartphones, and if the OS development process speed remains constant, then Google’s next major OS appears to stick to the same stable rollout timeline of Q2, 2025 for the entire Android ecosystem.
