Samsung to add third-party app support to Now Bar

Samsung is actively working on expanding the compatibility of its newly introduced Galaxy AI feature, Now Bar by integrating third-party app support. 

According to a report from a reliable blog, Samsung is looking forward to adding several third-party apps, including Kakao T and Naver Sports, to Now Bar-supported apps. The company introduced the Now Bar feature on the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7, it lets you use the information and main functions provided by the application without even opening the applications separately.

Until yet, Now Bar hasn’t supported any third-party app, but if the report is to be believed, Kakao T will be the first taxi app to be included in Now Bar. while pressing the application displayed on the top bar, you can check the estimated time of arrival for pickup or destination, and will also notify you of usage time when using a designated driver or bike. 

Naver Sports is the second real-time sports information support application after Google Sports that shares real-time information on sports teams subscribed to through ‘My Team’ on Naver. Apart from this a few more sports including, soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball are also expected to be compatible with the Now Bar soon. 

Reportedly, the Now Bar is also anticipated to support ‘Cross App Actions’ let you transfer work data from one app to another. The Korean tech giant is emphasizing the Cross App Action function that utilizes the voice assistant ‘Bixby’ call starting with the Galaxy S25. For instance, when you order Bixby ‘Play a song on YouTube Music and call a Kakao T taxi to my destination,’ then it will be compatible to process the commands across multiple applications without confusion.
