Samsung Galaxy S25 Users to Get Gemini’s Astra Camera Feature for Free

Samsung Galaxy users, get ready to experience a new convenient Gemini Live video streaming and screen sharing feature via Gemini Advanced subscription.

Last month at the MWC, Google confirmed a Gemini AI feature, initially teased as Project Astra. This Gemini Live feature will allow users to analyze real-time video and share their screens effortlessly.

Gemini’s Astra Camera feature will not be exclusive to Galaxy S25 users

Previously, it was rumored that this new feature would only be limited to the Pixel and Galaxy S25 phones, but now it’s confirmed that it will be available on any Android device. However, the device must be running on at least the Android 10 version. This means that all the Galaxy smartphones running on Android 10 and above are compatible with Gemini Live video streaming and screen-sharing features.

Noticeably, both of these features are available for Gemini Advanced subscribers, which is part of the $20/month Google One AI Premium plan. However, Samsung has already offered a six-month subscription to Gemini Advanced with the Galaxy S25 series.

This means that Galaxy S25 users can use the newly introduced Gemini Live video streaming and screen sharing features for free until the subscription expires. The screen sharing feature allows you to analyze and assist with anything displayed on your screen, including websites and applications. Whereas the Gemini Live is based on AI’s ability to understand various types of data to analyze live video from your camera.
