Samsung appears to be preparing itself to release the latest One UI 7 stable update, which is scheduled for April 7. At the same time, the company is also focusing on delivering the March 2025 security update for its Galaxy devices and guess what? Surprisingly, the Galaxy S20 series began receiving the latest patch.
Basically, the Galaxy S20 lineup models have already stopped getting any more software updates, but this time, Samsung is providing a new update that will only enhance their security.
Meanwhile, the latest March 2025 security update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra is now available in Europe and is identified with the G981BXXSNHYB1, G986BXXSNHYB1, and G988BXXSNHYB1 build numbers, respectively.
As usual, the update, however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes; rather, it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. It integrates a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous version in order to offer a safer and secure user experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior for a more efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations to offer a smooth, stable and optimized experience to the users.
