Samsung is yet to detail its newest security patch for the month of April; meanwhile, it appears like the company has started rolling out the April 2025 security update for the current Galaxy S25 series.
Following the previous March 2025 patch, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra have been spotted (via Tarun Vats) with a new regular security patch, but it significantly hints that more new features and enhancements will be commencing with the next software.
Galaxy S25 Set to Receive Additional One UI 7 Tweaks with Next Update
The latest security update, however, only integrates the April 2025 patch with new S931BXXU2AYD1, S936BXXU2AYD1, and S938BXXU2AYD1 build numbers, respectively, and doesn’t bring any major features or changes. It is possible that the new update is in the making that will certainly introduce more enhanced features, as Samsung has added a few interesting features for its older flagships via the One UI 7 beta builds, which are yet to make their way to the S24 models.
These features could include the improved charging animations, media playback widget control via the Now Bar in the status bar, and more. Meanwhile, the latest update will certainly focus on improving the overall device’s security and core functionality in order to offer a safer and more secure user experience while also protecting the devices against potential threats or attacks.
Lastly, Samsung has already delivered the April 2025 security patch for the devices, including the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, via the One UI 7 beta builds.
