Samsung’s One UI 7 stable update is finally reaching even more Galaxy devices widely; however, the stable update hits another drawback for the Galaxy S24 and S23 Ultra owners.
Initially, the One UI 7 update rollout appears to be smooth and efficient, at the same time, most of the Galaxy S24 Ultra owners are annoyed with the unnecessary blank space in One UI 7’s status bar, as to what Android Authority’s report suggests.
More specifically, according to the problem illustrated by a Reddit user, DiFF7Skyns, detailing the difference between the status bar of One UI 6.1 and One UI 7 on his Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s noticeable that the status bar in One UI 7 leaves unwanted blank space at both the left and right edges, while in One UI 6.1, there’s only the space left that is more than sufficient.
However, this unnecessary empty spacing on the status bar behavior appears to be annoying for the Galaxy S24 Ultra owners as their status bar limits only two to three icons at a time, hiding the rest of app icons behind the small dots.
At the same time, another report significantly mentions that One UI 7 further tend to increase the empty space at both the left and right margins on the Galaxy S23 Ultra models as well, but also suggests that the space is not so huge to be noticed and thus it is negligible.
Well, it’s difficult to say whether Samsung has done it intentionally with One UI 7. Also, this annoying behavior appears to be disappointing for the fans. But, it looks like Samsung has not delivered these changes across its most recent S flagships, the S25.
