Surprise, surprise! Samsung has begun the latest May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 series in the US.

Samsung is rolling out the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 for all of its eligible Galaxy smartphones, foldables and tablets on one hand, shockingly, the latest May 2025 security update is already hitting the carrier-locked Galaxy S25 series in the US, as the reports presented by Sammyguru revealed.

As spotted, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra has been identified with S931USQS3AYDF, S936USQS3AYDF and S938USQS3AYDF build numbers, respectively.

Galaxy S25 May Update

More specifically, the company is yet to share the details regarding the latest May security patch as to what exactly the update has brought up. But looking at the past deployments of security patches, it’s safe to say that Samsung has offered plenty of fixes for various security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous versions, while also protecting the device against potential threat, but users need to wait for a while to look into the details of the latest patch.

The update apparently focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality in order to offer a more secure user experience and performance.

As of now, Samsung has only offered the latest May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy A55 owners that are currently testing One UI 7 Beta 3. Meanwhile, it further appears like the new update for the Galaxy S25 family will reach more eligible regions shortly.
