Samsung shares April security patch details in its latest SMR bulletin

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 7 stable update for its Galaxy devices, starting with the Korea region. With the latest major update the company has pushed the April 2025 security patch as well for security enhancements. It is worth noticing that the Galaxy S25 has already got the April 2025 patch. Now, with the latest changes, the company has shared the April 2025 update details in the bulletin.

April 2025 security update: What’s new

With the April 2025 security update, the company aims to bring the latest fixes to enhance the overall security of the devices. As per the details, the latest update will bring 56 patches, 42 of which Google contributed, and the rest were added by the home team for the Galaxy devices.

In detail, there are 5 fixes added by Google for critical vulnerability, while 37 were tagged as being of high priority. Meashile, there are 5 fixes are applied on Galaxy devices only.

According to the information, some fixes have been made to the existing applications on the devices, including the sticker center, clipboard, Samsung contacts, wireless download protocol for Galaxy watches, Bluetooth pairing process for Galaxy watches, input manager, and HDCP. 

In the coming days, Samsung will introduce the April 2025 security patch to more galaxy devices. However, these updates will also be limited to eligible Galaxy devices which are listed in the latest scope category in the SMR page.
