Samsung delivered the May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 series in the US a few weeks back; meanwhile, the models have already started getting the new software update across the entire country.
More specifically, the latest firmware has just been spotted for the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra is identified with S931U1UES3AYDF, S936U1UES3AYDF and S938U1UES3AYDF build numbers, respectively. Its wider availability is expected to follow shortly.
Samsung; however, doesn’t mention any details regarding the latest security patch for the May month; meanwhile, it’s expected that the Android 15-based update apparently focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality, while also protecting the phone against potential threats in order to provide a more secure user experience.
Further, the update significantly improves the overall system stability, while also integrating certain performance optimisations for a more efficient behaviour to the users.
Currently, the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 stable version is hitting several Galaxy devices across the globe; it’s noticeable that Samsung’s Galaxy AI features will indeed make its way to even more older generation models but will stay limited as well. Since the May update for the Galaxy S25 family is available more widely in the US, users can now download and install the latest version on their device when available.
