Samsung SDI announced that it is all set to participate in InterBattery Europe 2025, to showcase a range of next-generation battery products.
The Korean tech giant will represent a range of brand-new battery products and eco-friendly technologies under the slogan ‘InCelligent Life, Always ON,’ SAMSUNG SDI, including a full-size Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for AI data centers and a containerized Energy Storage System (ESS) designed for utilization of eco-friendly renewable energy, capturing the attention of global visitors.
The UPS is equipped with Samsung SDI’s new battery U8A1, which is specifically designed to supply emergency power to AI data centers during an outage and it will deliver high performance with maximum safety, solidifying its position as an optimised solution for AI data centers.
The U8A1 features the highest power output in the industry, ensuring the equivalent amount of power supplies with fewer batteries, which efficiently upgrades space efficiency for data center operators. Installing a UPS equipped with the U8A1 will save about 33% by avoiding necessary installation space then previous models.
Samsung will also introduce a full-size version of the SBB 1.5 refers to the multitude of ESS batteries installed in a 20-foot container, which was unveiled at InterBattery 2025 earlier this year. It will include battery cells, modules, racks, safety devices, and a ventilation system, and also be compatible with being used immediately after connecting to the power grid.
The company will also introduce its prismatic battery products and technologies at the exhibition and emphasizing its advanced safety technology, No Thermal Propagation (No TP). Regarding this, Samsung SDI’s official stated, “At InterBattery Europe 2025, SAMSUNG SDI will showcase innovative and safety-enhanced products including next-generation batteries optimized for the AI era.”
