Samsung is gearing up to debut the seventh-generation foldable smartphone, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, for which it will fully re-engineer the four key parts to make it more durable foldable phone yet in the Galaxy family.
Samsung is all set to debut the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the Unpacked event in the first week of July 2025. The company hasn’t revealed any official details of the coming foldable phones yet, but the tipsters and leakers have already started teasing the fans by leaking a few key details of the foldables.
A tipster, Panda Flash, on X, shared a text post revealing that Samsung is re-engineering four parts for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which are as follows –
- Hing Mechanism
- Inner Display Layering
- Vapor Chamber
- All-New UTG
It’s already reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature slimmer bezels around the inner display and will also increase the gap size between displays.
Samsung has offered the latest vapour chamber to the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to make the coming foldable phones feature a similar vapour chamber. The UTG stands for the Ultra Thin Glass, which refers to a specialised type of glass used in foldable and rollable displays, offering a balance of thinness, durability, and flexibility. According to the tipster, Samsung will offer a new UTG to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which will make it a more durable and flexible foldable than its predecessor.
However, the tipster hasn’t revealed what exact changes regarding these four parts of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are coming, so it remains to be seen what innovations the company will offer.
