Samsung is rolling out the latest May 2025 security patch to several Galaxy devices, including its flagships to affordables to foldables in different regions. Meanwhile, the company has shifted its focus towards the rugged models, as the Galaxy XCover 7 and XCover 6 Pro models have started receiving the update.
Specifically, the May security patch for the Galaxy XCover 7 and XCover 6 Pro is identified with the build numbers, G556BXXS9BYDB and G736BXXSAEYD7, respectively and has started rolling out in Europe.
Meanwhile, the update is just a minor security patch and it; however, doesn’t introduce any massive features and changes; instead, it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and functionality.
It basically adds a host of key bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous version, alongside security improvements in order to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
Also, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behaviour and brings certain performance optimisations that eventually lead to a smoother, stable and optimised functionality.
