Samsung exclusively introduced the Now Brief feature with the Galaxy S25 series, allowing users to have a more personalized experience. Now, the company is looking forward to expanding the feature to more older-generation Galaxy devices; reports reveal so.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series based on Android 15 (One UI 7), which includes an exclusive feature, Now Brief. The feature provides a personalized briefing of selected content throughout the day, appearing on the lock screen, and highlights information such as weather updates, upcoming events, and more curated by AI.
Now, it seems that the company plans to extend the availability of this feature to older Galaxy devices. A user, @thatjoshguy69, on X, revealed that Now Brief is working on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and even older models.
Reportedly, with Personal Data Intelligence holding version number 7.0.06.0, the Now Brief has been forced on all devices it’s installed on. Although a few others reported that there were crashes on the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Earlier this year, during an interview, Sally Hyesoon Jeong, EVP at Samsung’s mobile experience division, stated, “AI features that utilize on-device processing, such as a personal data engine, require advanced chipsets and hardware like those in the Galaxy S25 Series with Snapdragon 8 Elite.”
Samsung seems to be starting to open up the Now Brief to older Galaxy devices with the latest Android 16-based One UI 8.
