One UI 8 Could Bring Now Brief to Older Galaxy Devices

While the beginning of the One UI 7 stable update rollout generated curiosity among the Galaxy audience, it also left fans disappointed when Samsung needed to pause the release due to a possible mysterious bug. Meanwhile, it looks like the company has shifted its focus to One UI 8 amidst Android 16 gearing towards a stable launch, while the Now Brief will no longer be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series.

Basically, a while ago, a report mentioned the first and exclusive look of One UI 8 while also hinting that Samsung could possibly plan to expand Now Brief to more older Galaxy devices with the upcoming One UI version.

This could make it to more Galaxy models with One UI 8; thus, Samsung appears to be planning to end the now brief exclusivity for the Galaxy S25 series owners the moment when the next software update arrives.

While Samsung’s One UI 7 brought about a lot of significant features, with the biggest upgrade being the Now Brief, it allows users to get a more personalized briefing with suggestions over content and actions that keep on changing throughout the day.

At the same time, the company has made it exclusive for the Galaxy S25 series, as the models have arrived with the One UI 7 stable version out of the box.

For now, it’s not exactly confirmed whether Samsung is looking forward to expanding the Now Brief feature with One UI 8 to more eligible older Galaxy smartphones, but if this happened in any way, then the Now Brief will possibly arrive on the likes of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, and more eligible phones based on their processing unit.
