Verizon-locked Galaxy A16 units receiving One UI 7 stable update in the US

Samsung is still progressing with One UI 7 stable rollout for the Galaxy devices across the globe; meanwhile the company is expanding the update for the US-based Galaxy A16 units.
The One UI 7 update is being delivered to more Galaxy devices so far, in the meantime, the Galaxy A16 5G models have started receiving the stable update in the US, which is identified with the build number, A166USQU2BYED and is currently available for the Verizon carrier-locked units, while the update will be expanded to unlocked models in the country soon.
Meanwhile, the latest firmware for the Galaxy A16 units, which runs Android 15 on top, apparently brings various essential capabilities that takes user’s experience to the next level. It introduces a host of new features such as the ability to check all the key notifications via the Now Bar right on the lock screen without unlocking the device, and brings more improved Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search; however, not all of them will be available for the device.
At the same time, the update packs live updates to quickly access the voice recordings, sports scores and other ongoing activities, it brings Gemini to the device, while also adding more customizable home screen widgets, also, it boosts productivity tools such as Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, call summaries and more.
In addition, the update integrates the April 2025 security patch level that eventually improves the device’s security and core functionality for a secure user experience.
