Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is claimed to deliver an ultra-like performance and feature a smarter camera, but it could not bring the expected under-display camera technology.
Samsung has already teased the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for its ultra-slim design, smarter camera, & more advanced AI tools, and also assured that the device will deliver an ultra-like beast performance to enhance user experience. Apart from these facts, Samsung hasn’t revealed any key specifications or details regarding the devices yet.
Recently, the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 render surfaced online, which revealed the thinner design and larger camera bumps of the device. Meanwhile, a tipster, PandaFlash, shared a post on his X handle, stating, “Yes, I have just confirmed from sources that Galaxy Z Fold 7 will not have any UDC.”
According to the statement, the upcoming foldable phone will not have UDC (under-display camera) technology. However, Samsung has not revealed anything regarding this technology yet, so it remains to be seen what will happen next, but it’s highly anticipated that the device will feature a punch-hole camera since the leaked renders also include it.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and will come pre-installed with Android 16-based One UI 8.
Previous reports suggested that Samsung might launch the under-display camera technology alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone. It will be interesting to see when the company adopts UDC technology.
