One UI 8 to add a custom reminder feature in Now Brief

Samsung introduced Now Brief, a distinctive feature that debuted with the Galaxy S25 series, guiding users all throughout the day by offering suggestions that are easily accessible via the Now Bar on the lock screen. Since Samsung continuously improves the feature, Now Brief now gets a reminder function.

The Now Brief is now being integrated with the Good Lock’s Routines+ module, and here’s how! Basically, Samsung’s Good Lock suite is currently being prepared to be compatible with the latest Android 16-based One UI 8, after a significant lead of the Home Up app that just received One UI 8 support.

Meanwhile, with One UI 8, Samsung announced on its official community page (via Android Authority) that it will be integrating Now Brief into the Good Lock’s Routines+ module.

This integration will significantly allow users to create routines that act as a reminder. More specifically, users will now be able to pick a time for their reminder and a description while also choosing how often it repeats.

Then users need to link Now Brief to any specific app and specify an image. Eventually, this feature will be useful in allowing users to avoid forgetting things that can be easily missed in today’s busy lifestyle, as now, users will be able to create a routine that will remind users at the right time via the Now Brief.

Well, Samsung has clarified that the Galaxy devices that don’t support the Now Brief function will benefit from this feature in the form of the reminder that will pop up through the notifications, anyway. At the same time, Samsung is progressively working on the latest One UI 8 version, and it’s expected that the update’s availability will be expanded to more Good Lock apps over the coming future.
