Samsung Good Lock 3.0 New Features and Changelog

Samsung’s One UI 7 is, of course, a tremendous update that brought about a lot of significant features and changes not only to the phones but also to almost all the Galaxy apps and services. Meanwhile, the company has just released the newest version of the Good Lock 3.0, which has certainly arrived aligned with certain UI changes to offer a more sophisticated and cleaner layout for the users.

The Good Lock 3.0 for One UI 7 has arrived with a lot of new and convenient changes to the overall app functionality. From refreshed UI design and adding new widgets to changing categories and other relevant bug fixes, here are all the new features and tweaks that have landed with the newest Good Lock 3.0.

Refreshed UI design for a more intuitive experience

The Good Lock’s main UI design has been refreshed and now offers more convenient access to the functions by dividing everything into three sections, namely: Terrace, Plugins, and You.

Well, the Terrace updates the users with every important notice and information regarding any feature or changes within the Good Lock app, whereas the Plugins section consists of all the modules (apps), and lastly, the newly added You tab lets users align their favorite apps while also suggesting to users all their settings or customizations that are currently in progress on their Galaxy devices. This certainly helps users to have a more intuitive experience alongside a neat look of the UI.

More detailed categories for better organization of Good Lock apps

Samsung has now classified each of its modules into their suitable categories, resulting in a much better organization of these apps. These categories include Make up, Life up, Clock, Extensions, Notifications, Settings, Touch, and so on. This significantly allows users to have a more organized yet neat look to the apps with every single detail.

View each app’s history directly within the Good Lock

The latest update even allows users to view each of the Good Lock’s app history directly from the main app, with just a single tap. To do so, users just need to click on the “i” button placed just beside the module (app). Also, tapping it will take you to the page where you can get your desired app’s history alongside the options to play or delete it.

Mark your favorite apps for quick access

The Good Lock app gets an all-new You tab that primarily focuses on providing a more seamless and quick access to the apps that are mostly preferred by the users. This tab comes with a Favorites section that lets you add all the apps that you like the most, and all these apps can be easily added to this section by tapping on the Edit button.

Gather and reset all app settings on my page:

A new option has been added that allows users to view all their currently running settings/customizations in one place, and thus this even lets you disable (reset) all the app settings at once without having to open every single app for resetting all the related customizations and changes on the device.

Added new widgets and quick launch features

Placed exactly at the top right corner, the Good Lock app brought up a new Widgets and Wallpaper section that comprises a quick launch capability. In simple words, the update added a new icon, tapping it opens up Widgets from where the users can add the Good Lock widget on their phone’s home screen. It offers two designs, including Mini and Cassette, allowing users to choose how they want to align their widget for simpler and quick access directly from the home screen.

Change categories with Make up and Life up

Accompanied with the detailed organization of apps within categories, the Make up and Life section has been refreshed for a design that is easy to understand. Well, the Makeup basically consists of those plugins, such as LockStar, ClockFace, KeysCafe, and so on, that help users to give their Galaxy device an intuitive makeover, while Life Up comes with the plugins that let users use their devices more conveniently and easily, like One Hand Operation+, MultiStar, Routines, and more.

Lastly, a lot of bug fixes and other necessary improvements:

At last, the newest update for the Good Lock app further packs plenty of bug fixes, including app bugs, fixed errors when trying to install plugins, fixed app closing with the toast “Your account has been changed,” and fixes overall UI while also adding an additional layer of security and other necessary improvements. 

Samsung Good Lock 3.0

Alongside, the two plugins, QuickStar and NavStar, have also started getting Android 15-based One UI 7 compatibility. Moreover, Samsung Good Lock 3.0 is now available to download via the Galaxy Store.
