Galaxy M17 and Galaxy F17 Get BIS Certification

Samsung is preparing to launch two new budget-friendly smartphones, the Galaxy M17 and Galaxy F17, and now both devices have been spotted on the BIS certification.

The Korean tech giant is working on several smartphones across all price ranges (flagship, mid-range, and budget) to launch by the end of this year, such as the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Tab S11 series, Galaxy Tri Fold, Galaxy A07Galaxy A17, and more.

Currently, the upcoming Galaxy M17 and Galaxy F17 have appeared on the BIS certification with the dedicated model numbers, which are as follows:

  • Galaxy M17 – SM-M176B/DS
  • Galaxy F17 – SM-E176B/DS

Apart from the model numbers, the listing hasn’t revealed any major details of the devices. Samsung also didn’t reveal any official information regarding the specifications and design of these upcoming devices.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy F17 as the successor of the Galaxy F16 smartphone launched earlier this year in March, whereas the Galaxy M17 will be the successor of the Galaxy M16, which was launched in February this year. It will be interesting to see exactly what new features, design improvements, and specifications the company will offer with these upcoming phones, as compared to their predecessors.

Currently, the launch date of these devices has not been predicted yet, but the BIS spotting hints at a near launch.
