Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to enhance the night photography experience with a wider aperture as compared to its predecessor.
The Galaxy S26 series will hit the market next year in early Q1 2026, which is not so close, but leaks and reports have already started blowing in the market. In the last few weeks, several rumors regarding the Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online, which suggest that the device will have 60W fast charging support, run One UI 8.5 out of the box, feature a larger aperture for major camera upgrades, and more. Now, a new report regarding the camera upgrade of the Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared online.
A reliable tipster, Ice Universe, shared a post on X, claiming that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have the 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, the same as its predecessors. The notable fact is that Samsung will upgrade the sensor by adjusting the aperture, which will enhance the capturing experience in low-light scenes.
According to the report, it’s confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a wider f/1.4 aperture, whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra had an f/1.7 aperture. The lower the f-number, the wider the aperture. The tipster says a simple calculation shows that the amount of light entering the camera is increased by 47% compared to its predecessor.
Currently, Samsung hasn’t released any official word regarding this report yet, so it remains to be seen whether the leak will come true, but if it happens, then the Galaxy S26 Ultra will surely enhance the capturing experience even in low light.
