Meanwhile, a new report from IDC (International Data Corporation) revealed that Samsung shipped 7.2 million Galaxy Tab units during Q2 2025, making it the leader in the Android tablet space.
IDC has published an analysis on the global tablet shipment, according to which Samsung leads the Android tablet market in Q2 2025. Based on metrics, the company has sold over 7.2 million tablet units in Q2 2025, which helps it to gain 18.7% market share, giving it the second position on the chart.
Analyzing the shipment metrics, the tablet market grew 13.1% year-over-year, with 38.3 million units shipped worldwide, where Samsung’s shipment increased 4.2%, adding about 300,000 tablets compared to the first quarter.
During the first quarter this year, Samsung shipped 6.9 million Galaxy Tab units and earned a 20.3% market share, which means it has sold 0.3 million more tablets in the last quarter than the one before that. On the other side, Apple secured the first position with 12.7 million iPad unit sales.

Regarding the analysis, IDC stated, “Samsung continued to secure its second position in the top five and grew by 4.2% year-over-year with a shipment of 7.2 million units. Along with projects in Latin America that added to the volume, Samsung has been aggressively pushing shipments in the Middle East and in Europe in order to compete with other top vendors.”
