Galaxy S24 and Z Flip 6 Get Second One UI 8 Beta Update

Samsung has further expanded the One UI 8 beta program, now releasing an additional beta version not only for last year’s flagship Galaxy S24 series but also for the latest Galaxy Z Flip 6 models.

The Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program is open for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models, and beginning with its home country, South Korea, Samsung has started delivering the One UI 8 Beta 2 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 units, at least for now; it’s expected to expand to more reserved countries in the coming weeks.

In addition, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra units are getting One UI 8 beta 2, starting with the UK and South Korea, and it is expected to reach more One UI beta program-eligible countries in the near future. Meanwhile, the latest beta firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been recognized with the version number F741NKSU2ZYHB, where the last four alphabets are ZYHB. At the same time, the update significantly carries some key bug fixes and other relevant improvements that are essential to provide a smoother and more efficient user experience.

According to the changelog, the update brings fixes related to Android Auto issues, cover screen widget errors, camera preview, Flex Mode when recording, multi-window overlapping issues, notifications, lock screen fingerprint overlapping, font issues, clock widget time display errors, and more. But most prominently, the latest beta update brings Now Brief, a significant feature that allows users to get various suggestions and briefings throughout the day that are catered to their day-to-day experiences.

Further, the update also adds the September security patch for additional security to provide a more efficient and secure user experience.
