Samsung to launch its next-generation Galaxy S26 series in 2026, and the Pro variant of the lineup is anticipated to be powered by the in-house Exynos 2600 chipset based on a 2 nm process.
Under the hood, Samsung is developing the Galaxy S26 lineup, which is supposed to debut in early 2026. The lineup was recently reported to include at least four variants, as mentioned below:
- Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Plus, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra
Although initially, it was rumored that the company would ditch the Plus variant from the series and replace it with the Edge, it remains to be seen whether the rumors will come true.
Previously, it was predicted that Samsung would go for Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen to power the Galaxy S26 series completely. Meanwhile, the company has started working on its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset, and fortunately, the benchmark scores of the chips were reported to be quite impressive.
Now, a new report claims that Samsung has decided to use a 2nm-based Exynos 2600 chipset for the Galaxy S26 Pro. It’s reported that the company is also considering selling the Exynos variant in most of the global markets. Whereas the US and China may continue to get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered model.
However, Samsung has yet to confirm whether it will use Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 Pro; it remains to be seen whether the report will come true.
