Samsung to expand Galaxy XR availability to more regions in 2026

Samsung is now considering extending its first Galaxy XR headset availability in more regions next year, following the exclusive availability in Korea and the US.

After a long testing, last month, Samsung launched its Galaxy XR, which is the world’s first headset to run Android XR. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset, integrated with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

At the launch time, Samsung confirmed that it will sell the Galaxy XR only in limited regions: the US and Korea. Now, one of our colleagues, SamMobile, exclusively revealed that Samsung is looking forward to bringing the headset to more markets in 2026, which are as follows –

  • Germany
  • France
  • Canada
  • UK

However, the list is not revealed by any official source; it remains to be seen whether Samsung could add more countries as production expands and as more apps and XR experiences become available. It seems that Samsung is gradually taking its steps with its first XR headset, and the reason behind this is that the company is testing the waters in key markets before going fully global.

If the results go in favor, then Samsung could make the Galaxy XR a truly international product in 2026. Since there’s no official statement regarding this report yet, it remains to be seen what will happen next.
