Samsung Galaxy S26 series is already the talk of the town; meanwhile, its Ultra model has now been listed on the BIS certification.
Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 series launch could be delayed by March 2026; however, it’s not the case, as recent reports suggested that the series will launch sometime in late January 2026, at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
Initially, it was almost confirmed that Samsung will replace the Plus variant of the lineup with the Galaxy S26 Edge, and the standard model will be named Galaxy S26 Pro. Although the most recent reports say that there will be no change, and the lineup will include three models, as mentioned below –
- Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra
Now, the Ultra model (Galaxy S26 Ultra) has appeared on the BIS certification with the dedicated model number SM-S948B. However, the listing hasn’t revealed any specific details regarding the device.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip globally. According to a few previous reports, it will feature a wider f/1.4 aperture, support 25W wireless charging, an AI upscaling-based Telephoto camera, a larger vapor chamber, bring a major selfie camera upgrade, and more.
