Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is now expected to bring a significant upgrade for the front camera compared to its predecessor, enhancing the selfie experience.

Previously, it was rumored that Samsung could face a two-month delay in launching the Galaxy S26; however, a recent report revealed that the launch timeline has returned to the usual timeline, i.e., in January 2026.

The lineup will include at least three variants: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. To date, several leaks and rumors have already revealed most of the details of these models; however, Samsung has yet to confirm these details.

Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, IceUniverse, shared a post on X, revealing that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature an upgraded selfie camera. He claimed that Samsung is gearing up to increase the front camera’s field of view (FOV) to 85°.

Noticeably, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s front camera now has the same wide-angle as the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s rear main camera. This means that it will allow for capturing more in the frame, which will be quite convenient in particular scenes, such as while taking group selfies with friends, without worrying about anyone getting cut off. However, the official words regarding this upgrade have yet to be released.

Recently, it has been reported that Samsung will power the Galaxy S26 Ultra globally with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the base variants of the lineup will be equipped with the Exynos 2600 chipset.
