Samsung Plans To Remove Camera Sensors From Mid Range Devices

Concurring to the industry on the 20th, it was known that Samsung Electronics plans to apply a triple camera to the range of the mid-priced Galaxy A24, A34, and A54 models to be released the following year. 

The rear camera of the Galaxy A24 comprises triple camera modules such as a 50-megapixel standard, 8-megapixel ultra-wide point, and a 5-megapixel close-up. The rear of the A34 is additionally prepared with triple camera modules such as 48-megapixel standard, 8-megapixel ultra-wide point, and 5-megapixel close-up. 

While On the rear of the Galaxy A54, a 50 megapixels standard, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide point, and a 5-megapixel close-up is applied. 

Compared to the Galaxy A23, A33, and A53, which were released this year as past works of the three models, which were prepared with a quad camera module, the number of rear camera modules has been reduced by one.

This move was taken to avert the recent inflation and to counter the Chinese along with other competitors. The following are considered the main reasons for this decision;

Samsung has increased its LCD portion from 33% to 50% in smartphones. 

A drop in OLED proportion dropped from 67% in 2018 to 50% last year.

Introduction of OIS, optical image stabilization from flagship Galaxy S and Note series to the mid-priced Galaxy A series since last year. 

In the end, we can say that Samsung was also caught in the so-called gimmick about the extra camera, and now it is rectifying that mistake. Samsung’s hopes are dependent upon the mid-range A series and the upcoming flagship Galaxy S 23 series.
