Samsung is continuously showering the latest update on the Galaxy devices; the company is now updating its three high-end devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy S21 series devices. The January 2023 update is part of the monthly security update program, which Google runs to make Android devices more secure and stable against external threats. Moreover, the update includes several patches that are included by Google as well as Samsung for Galaxy devices.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4

Users who own these devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version number F936BXXS1BWA2 and F721BXXS1BWA2 for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, respectively. These devices already received Android 13 a couple of months ago; being the latest flagship devices of Samsung, both of the devices are eligible for three more android updates, which means you will get Android updates up to Android 16.

Galaxy S21 series devices

The Galaxy S21 series includes three devices named Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy 21 Ultra; users can identify the January 2023 update by firmware version number G991BXXS5DWA7, G996BXXS5DWA7 and G998BXXS5DWA7 sequentially. This series was introduced by Samsung back in 2021 and came with Android 11 on board; with recent developments, the device has been updated to Android 13, and as per the latest policy of Samsung, the device will receive one more Android update in future.
