Alongside the Galaxy S23 series, the One UI 5.1 update finally came up front. Official debut means it is now fully prepared to reach all eligible Galaxy lineups. However, the update made its debut with the Galaxy S23 series, and its changelog has also been unveiled, but one thing is still under the hood. Notably, it still needs to be cleared; the update will reach how many Galaxy devices and when. So, let’s find out an answer to it.

Let us inform you that the One UI 5.1 is based on Android version 13, just like its predecessor, One UI 5.0. Hence, it is obvious that the update will reach nearly all Galaxy devices that have Android 13 in it, including smartphones, foldable, and tablets. Undoubtedly, the update will first roll out to the flagship devices of the company and soon will be distributed to the other Galaxy devices.

One UI 5.1 timeline

Samsung has already announced when their One UI 5.1 update will be available for select smartphones. The update is set to roll out in stages, and some devices will see it sooner than others. For those of you who are not on the list, don’t worry; Samsung promises that an OTA (over-the-air) update will be released “soon.”

As per the recent software update schedule of Fido, the first wave of devices to receive the update includes the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy S22 Series on February 22nd, 2023, along with the February SMR update. However, as Fido is a Canadian company, the schedule is for the Canadian market; hence, it is possible that the timing will vary in other markets. For information, on the same day, the Galaxy S22 series will also get the One UI 5.1 update.

Device owners can check for updates by going to Settings>Software Update>Check for Updates. If your device is not on the list and you wish to download and install the update manually, you can go to Samsung’s website and download it there.

If you are wondering when Samsung will start the public rollout of the newly-launched update, so let us tell you that now it won’t take much time. Expectedly, the rollout may occur by March or April. And hence its testing has already been started and is still underway; we may get to see a comparatively speedy rollout than the others. Now let’s move on to the main thing, “which device will get it first” the info is provided below.

I’ve heard the S7 is going to be out dated. There won’t be any more updates for it, you will need to get another phone
