Samsung and DISH Wireless launched Virtual Open RAN 5G Network in the US

Samsung Electronics has joined hands with the American company DISH Network. They have recently launched Samsung-supported sites for DISH’s wireless 5G network, which has been done through a field test phase. Informatively, Samsung has supplied 24,000 Open RAN-compliment 5G radios, virtualized distributed units (vDU), and virtualized central units (vCU) to DISH Network for its 5G network’s nationwide launch in the US. 

Let us inform you, in that manner, the two of them announced a multi-year agreement back in May 2022. Since then, Samsung has been helping DISH Network to extend its network infrastructure. Notably, to make it possible, both of them have worked together for approximately a year, and their partnership will continue in the future as well. In addition to it, they have built new dual-band and tri-band Open RAN-compliant 5G radios as well.
