Samsung unveiled its new flagship Galaxy S23 series just a month ago, and rumours regarding the next Galaxy S24 series started to appear on the internet. However, there is nearly a whole year for this new series to be launched, but it seems that users are eager to see through Galaxy devices’ future. As we know, Samsung uses Snapdragon SoCs in its flagship device; we recently found clues about the SD 8 Gen 3 SoC of the Galaxy S24.

Informatively, all three devices of the upcoming Galaxy S24 series (Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra) will use Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in them, which is a successor to the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. About this new Snapdragon SoC, the tipster Revengus has recently shared some information that helps us know about this new chipset, as well as the Galaxy S24 series, so let’s take a look at them.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC: Know more here

As per the tipster, the new SoC will be an octa-core processor but with a different CPU core configuration. Instead of having the previous SD 8 Gen 2-like 1+4+3 architecture, it will get 1+5+2 architecture. The primary core will be a Cortex-X4, with the highest clock speed of 3.2GHz. Other than this, five cores will be Cortex-A720 with a 3.0GHz peak clock speed, and the rest two will be Cortex-A520 with a 2.0GHz peak clock speed.

Galaxy S24 Ultra could have better-zooming capabilities with a wider aperture

Notably, the last two cores are smaller than the previous SoC, and the primary one will remain the same and will not get improvements in its clock speed. Thankfully, SoC does get some improvements in other things, such as GPU, storage chips, and more. Let us tell you, the new chipset will use Adreno750 GPU in it. Not only that, but it will also use one generation up storage chips- the USF 4.1 chips with LPDDR5 RAM in them.

These Galaxy devices have received the Samsung One UI 5.1 update so far

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC indeed has nearly zero improvements in its CPU cores, but still, it is said to offer better performance than its predecessor. To justify it, the tipster shared run points of the Snapdragon 8 series chipsets. The Gen 1 SoC got 1277/3642, the Gen 2 SoC got 1524/4597, and the new Gen 3 SoC got 1930/6236 points scores on Geekbench. [firsts are single core and the latter are multi-core points]

As the upcoming Galaxy S24 series devices will feature this new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in them, all the Gen 3’s features will enhance the Galaxy S24 devices as well.
