Samsung is successfully introduced the One UI 5.1 for eligible devices; now, the company has maintained the monthly update schedule, expanding the March 2023 security patch, and it is worth mentioning that the company is continuously updating Galaxy devices in the US for a few days.

At present, the March 2023 update is now rolling out to unlock a variant of Galaxy S20 FE 5G devices; users can identify the latest update by its firmware version number G781U1UES9GWB4. The device has already received the One UI 5.1 with the previous update.

The March 2023 update doesn’t bring any new features with it, but it includes several patches that fix the overall security of the device. According to the official documentation of Samsung, the update includes over 60 patches which are included by Google and Samsung both. For information, Google added the patches that fix the vulnerabilities present in the Android OS, while Samsung brought the patches that resolve the issues which are related to Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S20 FE was launched in 2020 and came with Android 10; later, the device received two more Android updates, so it is currently running on Android 13-based One UI 5.1. At the time of the release of the device, Samsung is following the policy of giving three Android updates, so that’s why the Galaxy S20 FE is no longer eligible for any major update; however, it may still receive some more updates as a security patch.
