Samsung brings March 2023 security update for Galaxy A03

The Galaxy A03 was launched back in 2021; it was the most affordable device at that time, it came with Android 11 preinstalled, and then it received two more updates as Samsung promised; the device is currently the device is running on Android 13-based One UI 5.0, which was the last major update. It is worth mentioning that the device will not be eligible for the One UI 5.1 update because of hardware limitations, but it will receive more security updates.

Notably, the device has received a new security update in the form of March 2023; the update doesn’t bring any new features; it only includes internal improvements that enhance the overall performance and stability of the device.

Apart from these, the update also includes bug fixes that resolve the security vulnerability issues from the device. In detail, as per the official documentation of Samsung, the update includes over 60 patches which Google and Samsung include; from those, 40 patches target the Android OS, which is added by Google, while Samsung has included 23 other patches that resolve several security issues related to Galaxy devices.

The update is currently rolling out in some South American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Uruguay, and Bolivia. The Galaxy A03 users can easily identify the late update by the firmware version number A035MUBS2CWC2. It is expected that the update will be expanded to other countries in the next few days. Galaxy device users should get the notification regarding the new update, but in case you didn’t receive it yet, you can also check and download it manually by following the given steps:

  1. First, Go to the system settings
  2. Scroll down and tap on the software 
  3. Tap on download and install 
  4. Wait until it finished searching
  5. Now Tap on the download button and install.
