Samsung has released May 2023 security update for three more Galaxy devices in Canada. The latest update only comes with security-related improvements for the devices; it doesn’t bring any new features.

The May 2023 security update is already available for the Galaxy S23Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in several European countries and the US. Now the update is rolling out for Canadian units of these devices.

Users who own Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by these firmware version numbers S911WVLS1AWCA, S916WVLS1AWCA, and S918WVLS1AWCA sequentially.

While Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are getting the update with the firmware version number F936WVLS2CWD9 and F936WVLS2CWD9. All these devices also got the Image Clipper feature which was limited to Galaxy S23 initially.

As said earlier, May 2023 update brings enhancements to the security of the device. In detail, the update comes with over 70 fixes. Apart from these, sometimes it also brings improvements for the inbuilt system apps and enhances their stability.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are coming soon

Galaxy Foldable devices will soon get a new addition to the lineup. Samsung is all set to introduce a new generation of foldable devices in the form of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. According to some leaks, this generation of Galaxy devices will be powered by the latest processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy. This was previously introduced in Galaxy S23 devices, but it is also said that it will beat Galaxy S23 in terms of performance.
