Verizon serves July 2023 security update for Galaxy S21 FE, A53, and A54 in the US

Samsung has recently released the July 2023 security update for a range of Galaxy devices in the US. Verizon is now rolling out a new update for three specific models: the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G.

The firmware versions G990USQS8EWF1, A536VSQS8CWF6, and A546VSQS4AWF2 correspond to the latest updates for the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G, respectively. Currently, these updates are available for Verizon-affiliated Galaxy devices, with other carriers expected to follow suit soon.

The recent security update addresses a total of 90 vulnerabilities, with 52 being Google’s universal fixes applicable to all Android devices and the remaining 38 being Samsung’s specific patches for Galaxy devices.

If you own any of the mentioned devices affiliated with Verizon, you should receive a notification for the update. However, it might take a couple of days for the update to reach all devices. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install.
