One UI 6 Camera Widget allows adding custom camera mode on Home Screen

For a few days, Samsung has been teasing the One UI 6 beta program, and yesterday it finally released the first beta version of it for Galaxy S23 devices in select countries. As per Samsung’s clues, the first beta is full of several new features and improvements, and from those new features, we here discuss the new custom camera widget.

The custom camera widget brings new additions to enhance the working of the camera; it allows users to quickly open the camera in the preset camera mode. In other words, if you want to open the camera in a particular mode initially, you can customize accordingly.

For instance, you can set the Rear camera to Pro mode so that whenever you click on the widget, it directly opens that particular mode, and you can quickly click the photos with it. The widget also lets you decide where you want to save the photos. As well, you can also change the background of the widget.

All customization options for a custom camera

The new widget has a large collection of options that are compatible with your Galaxy device.

  • Camera: Rear or Front
  • Modes: Photo, Portrait, Video, Pro, Pro Video, Night, Food, Panorama, Superslow-Mo, Slow Motion, Hyperlapse, Portrait Mode, Director’s View, Single Take
  • Save pictures and Videos to a custom folder.
  • Widget Background: Use the most recent image in the Camera Album. Select An image.

The new Camera widget will be useful for photography lovers; with the help of this feature, they can easily shoot photos or videos of crucial moments.
