No “AI Phone” Label? Samsung Galaxy S24 Takes a Different Approach

The Galaxy S24 series is expected to launch globally early next year. The Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra are expected to have AI-integrated features, providing the newest technology. Several sources have already provided the specifications of the offered models.

The Galaxy S24 series has long been hailed as Samsung’s smartest phones, known as AI phones. Now it has come to light that Samsung executive Lu Taiwan is against the moniker AI phone for its next flagship Galaxy S24 series. As per reports, Lu Taiwan has given staff members instructions to suggest other names for Samsung’s forthcoming flagships that more accurately reflect its essence and AI capabilities.

Media rumors suggest that the phrase “AI phone” may not adequately capture the significant technological developments and user experiences connected to the Galaxy S24 series. On the other hand, if you look closely, the pronunciation of the “AI phone” sounds similar to the term iPhone, so the business wants to change the moniker as they don’t want something that is similar to its rival firm.

Things started to rile up in November after several sources noticed that Samsung used terms such as AI phones and AI smartphones in its patent trademark filings. Additionally, Samsung has exclusively crafted the Galaxy AI experience for its next flagships, which will be powered by artificial intelligence.

With its Samsung Gauss, the Galaxy S24 series will feature an AI live call translation feature. According to reports, Samsung will release the Galaxy S24 series in just a month, with an Unpacked Galaxy event scheduled for January 17, 2024, in San Jose, California, USA.
