Samsung brings the December 2023 update to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 FE in more countries

Earlier this week, the locked and unlocked units of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 FE devices received the December 2023 device in the US. Now,  with more expansion, these devices are now getting a new update in more countries, including Europe.

More specifically, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G and Galaxy S20 FE 5G are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers G780FXXSEFWK8 and G781BXXS9HWK8 respectively. Meanwhile, the main series, which includes the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Laura, are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers G981BXXSIHWKD, G986BXXSIHWKD and G988BXXSIHWKD respectively.

It is important to note that the latest update is coming with the December 2023 patch, which doesn’t come with any new features or innovations for the devices, and they are also no longer eligible for any major updates, but with this update, devices will get

Going into detail, the December 2023 update is the latest security patch, which brought more than 60 fixes that resolve the issues related to the internal functions of devices that were found in the last software update and make the security of the devices stronger so they can protect your important data from malware.

So if you want to be secure from external threats, then you should update your device to the latest version. If you are using any of the above-mentioned devices in Europe, then you should have received the notification of the update availability. In case you don’t have the notification now, you can also check it manually from the software update option in the main system settings.
