Google Photos brings auto grouping stacks on Android

The Google Photos application is one of the most common applications on Android. It was designed by Google to provide a separate place where all your photos and videos can be kept. Now, with the latest update, it has grabbed some new stack photo features.

The stack photos feature offers a way to systematically organize the photos that are taken together in a short time frame. Now the images taken in a short time will stick together and appear as a single image in the grid.

However, you can check the number of photos available without tapping on it. On the main photo tab, you can see the number of photos available at the top right side of the photo tab. When you tap on it, all the photos open in a carousel, so you can easily swipe all the photos. You will see a filmstrip, which shows a small photo of all the photos available.

With the help of this strip, you can easily manage these photos as it provides several options, like directly picking your desired photo, easily removing a photo from the collection, and easily selecting the images that you want to delete and clearing them from the space.

To stack similar photos Google has used AI, which automatically makes a stack of similar photos that are taken in a shorter time. Now when you share or add a stack to albums, you will have two options: “selected items only” and “includes photo stacks.

Meanwhile, you can also have the option to unstack the photo stack, and it will separate them and appear in the grid. To do it, you just need to tap and hold the photo stack and then tap on unstack photos. It is worth noticing that the photo stack feature was first available for iOS devices, and now it is available for Android devices; however, currently, it is in the initial rollout and will be available for all users in the next few days.
