Samsung introduces its original Color E-Paper display 

Samsung, at the Infocomm 2024 expo in Las Vegas, USA, unfolds its Color E-Paper TV. It’s the first time the Korean giant unveiled its Color E-Paper TV. 

The Korean giant introduced Color E-Paper TV, a working prototype that uses a color e-ink display panel and can be used for advertising. It will be beneficial in specific places such as malls, offices, public areas, restaurants, retail stores, and various other places to display ads, menus, products, and more.

The Korean giant’s first Color E-Paper TV is an ultra-low-power 32-inch digital display. The brand has been dedicated to low-power advertising use cases. The screen displays files from its internal storage for advertising or any other need. It features QHD resolution along with a palette of 60,000 colors. The EMDX is slim and lightweight, with a measurement count of 17.9 mm and a weight of 2.9 kg.

The South Korean brand assures that this digital signage can display content without using any power. According to Samsung Electronics, the Color E-Paper TV can display content while consuming 0 watts of power, and it only uses energy when the content being displayed is changed. As per the International Electrotechnical Commission’s IEC62301 study, power consumption of less than 0.005W can be marketed as 0.00W. 

The Color E-Paper features 8GB of storage for content, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and two USB-C ports. It boasts a slim bezel that can be customized, such as Samsung’s The Frame TV. The brand has made it compatible with standard wall mounts for flexible placement on ceilings, tablets, or walls.
