Samsung Health could soon enhance Medication Tracking

Published

on

Samsung Health is a noteworthy part of Samsung’s workspace. This health app helps to track and monitor health metrics. Now the brand is setting up to expand the app’s functionality, as the new report says it could soon make adding medicines to the Medication feature easier.

The Korean giant is looking forward to adding two new convenient features, especially for the users who regularly use the Samsung Health app: medicine scanning and drug-allergy interaction. These two features will add an extra layer of enhanced experience to health monitoring.

Soon, users will be able to scan their medication to add automatically specific data, such as name, strength, like mg dose, and the form of medicine, whether tablet or capsule, to the Samsung Health app.

The Korean giant has announced that medication tracking will begin in December 2023 to help users manage their health more effectively and efficiently. The feature will be beneficial to track prescription and over-the-counter medications and provide tips about these medications.

Once you enter the names of select medications into the app, the medications feature will provide a more detailed query, for instance, a general description and possible side effects. The Korean giant has announced that medication tracking would inform users regarding possible adverse reactions that could occur from drug-to-drug interactions or if taken alongside certain foods such as caffeine and alcohol.

It seems that the brand could also extend the feature to inform users regarding drug-allergy interactions. It will permit you to select from some common allergies or add your allergies to the list. Also, if you use a medication that might cause an allergic reaction, you will be informed about drug-to-drug interactions.

Telegram has rolled out a fresh update for users. With the latest update, the company has introduced several new features that will elevate the user experience and provide new ways to earn money from Telegram. Telegram is aggressively trying to make its place in the social media market against WhatsApp. To do that, the developer team regularly brings new features with fresh updates.

Telegram June 2024 Update

With the latest update, Telegram has brought some new features. Let’s explore all of them: Minimizable mini app bar: now users will be able to minimize the mini app into a bar at the bottom of the screen for quick access and reduced loading times. To minimize the app, you just need to swipe left on its title, and to reopen it, simply tap on the bar and choose the desired application.

Telegram stars and TonCoin: now that Telgam has introduced a new way to earn money for users, stars can be used to unlock photos and videos from channels or purchase digital goods from bots. The stars can also be exchanged for toncoin or used for discounted telegram ad promotion.

Apart from this, users will be convinced to search for content through Telegram, which will allow them to search for stores by hashtag or location tag. Public stores with location tags can improve visibility for businesses like bars and restaurants.

For premium users, Telegram will provide a link widget store. With this facility, users can add customizable link widgets to their stories to capture the user’s attention.

Telegram has already started rolling out the update for Android smartphones. To check for the update, you just need to go to the Google Play Store, then search for Telegram. If it shows a new update available, then tap on the update button and wait until it installs on the smartphone.

Samsung Enhances SmartThings with Matter 1.2 and Updated Control Panel

Samsung is upgrading its SmartThings era by adding more convenient and advanced compatibility and functionalities, as it is introducing Matter 1.2 support for smart home control.

Samsung’s SmartThings will soon get an upgraded version, as the giant has announced that it is looking forward to including Matter 1.2 support. This will take your smart home to new heights, as new functionality will permit you to control almost everything you have connected to your network.

The report says the latest update, Matter 1.2, will make smart home management easier. This version builds on the basic, fundamental capabilities of controlling devices outside of a set ecosystem. The brand has announced that SamrtThings has now been certified for the Matter 1.2 SDK. The devices listed above and others are now compatible with Matter and are set up via SmartThings.

The early adoption meant that devices like lightbulbs and switches could be controlled since they only needed an “on” or “off” state to be conveyed through Matter’s data highways. Whereas the Korean giant makes advanced technological appliances, their necessity depends on users adopting the SamrtThigns ecosystem. This limits their earnest request since not everyone wants to be locked into a specific platform.

Matter 1.2 will permit those devices to be utilized in ecosystems such as Google Home or Apple HomeKit. Alongside those changes, Samsung is also rolling out shareable routines and changing the Device Control UI on Galaxy devices. According to the company, the new UI will house bigger device cards and have the ability to create new home pages that house just the devices users want.

However, the Korean giant has yet to mention exactly when a new Device Control page will be available or show off the new UI. It’s also not clear if this new design will arrive with a new version of Android, a One UI update, or something else.
