Right after processing the third beta phase of the One UI 7 skin, Samsung is now focusing on delivering the new January 2025 security update for the non-beta users of the Galaxy S24 lineup. Earlier, the update was released for the units in South Korea, while this time the update reaches the S24 models in the US.
The latest January 2025 security update will reach the other eligible regions sequentially in certain batches. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra users (running One UI 6.1) have begun getting the update in the US, which is available for the carrier-locked T-Mobile units.

The January 2025 security update for the devices carries the S921USQS4AXL3, S926USQS4AXL3, and S928USQS4AXL3 version numbers. Meanwhile, the update only weighs 449.96MB, which signifies that it’s just a minor bug-fixing patch, which is packed with plenty of fixes for both critical and high-level security vulnerabilities that aims to offer a safe and secure user experience while also protecting the device against various potential harms.
On the opposite side, the update further adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings certain performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches, and delivers more improved features that enhance the overall system functionality and offer a more optimized, secure, and stable user experience.
