Galaxy Z Fold 7 Could Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite & Wi-Fi 7 Support

Samsung is working on its next-generation foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and feature Wi-Fi 7 support.

Samsung is aggressively working on expanding its ways in the foldable market by introducing innovation alongside new foldable devices. Usually, it debuts two foldable devices in a year, but last year it debuted three devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Apart from these three devices, the company is also rumored to debut its first tri-fold phone by the end of this year.

According to PandaFlash, the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support Wi-Fi 7. He also coded “Confirmed” at last, which suggests the confirmation of this report.

Recently, Samsung offered Wi-Fi 7 support to the Galaxy S25 series, and now it is looking forward to expanding this support by offering it to the upcoming foldable device. However, the tipsters didn’t mention whether the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also support the same Wi-Fi 7.

The same tipster shared another post claiming that Samsung will ditch its in-house Exynos chipset to power its next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 7. Reportedly, it will power the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, it’s unclear whether the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also use the same chipset.

Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a modified Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Samsung has yet to reveal any official details regarding the coming foldable phones; it remains to see whether these reports will come true.
