Samsung Galaxy S25 Users Facing Issues with Google Meet – How to fix

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is just a few days older, and users already started reporting that they are facing issues using Google Meet.
Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event, and right after the launch, the company started the pre-order program and now started shipping the smartphone in the US. A few Galaxy S25 Ultra users are reporting that Google Meet is not working seamlessly on their smartphones.
Google Meet Not Working Properly on Samsung Galaxy S25? You’re Not Alone
Regarding this issue, a user reported that the Galaxy S25’s camera wasn’t working on Google Meet, designing the green camera icon displayed on the top-right corner of the screen. This showcases that the camera is functioning right, but the video feed shows a black screen.
Now another user shared his problem on Google Meet Help, saying there was no video on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, even though all the settings seemed to be fine. Apart from these two, more users are reporting the same issue, which shows that it’s a widespread issue.
Potentially, it could be Google Meet that is experiencing issues as the application transitions from Legacy Calling to the newer implementation. Noticeably, the Galaxy devices in the US have preloaded Google Meet, and the banner at the top displays Made for Samsung Galaxy, this means that the app is optimized for Galaxy devices; despite this, it remains unclear exactly what is causing the issue.
If you are facing the Google Meet issue on your Galaxy S25, then you can fix it by navigating a few easy steps if your app is updated—
- Long-press the Google Meet icon.
- Tap on the (i) button and scroll down to the Storage.
- Click on the Clear cache, then choose Clear data.
- Relaunch the Google Meet app.
In most cases, these steps fix the issue, but if it doesn’t work, then you can also try to reinstall the app. It remains to see whether Samsung will take quick action against this issue and release a fix.
