One UI 7

One UI 7 re-arranges the media playback control widget that you might not like

Samsung’s One UI 7 is considered the most prominent update that has happened in history so far, with its newly arrived features being the center of attraction. It brought about a lot of significant changes, but among them, the re-arrangement of the media playback control widget from the notification panel just started becoming a matter of discussion.

While the previous Android 14-based One UI 6 version seamlessly allowed users to control the media playback via a widget placed within the notification panel, that’s not the case with the newest arrangement due to the separation of the notification panel from Quick Settings.

One UI 7 offers more hustle to control and access media playback

The new arrangement of the notifications and quick panel with the latest One UI 7 version shifts the media playback control widget to the Quick Settings that can be discovered when swiping down from the right side of the screen, while this arrangement requires users to swipe down twice in order to open the entire Quick Settings and media playback widget.

Although One UI 7, of course, arranges the Quick Settings more systematically, the earlier arrangement was pretty cool as it enabled users to quickly access the notifications and Quick Settings alongside the media playback control widget collectively at the same time.

However, the key highlight is that in case the new arrangement with One UI 7 frustrates, the users will easily be able to get back to the older arrangement (One UI 6) in just a few taps in the device’s settings. Despite this, users will be required to swipe twice as the media playback controls have now become part of the expanded view of the Quick Settings.
