Samsung recently at the Developer Conference announced notable Bixby upgrades, and now it is expanding the Bixby service ways on its AI TVs.
The Korean tech giant is actively working on making Bixby more advanced to enhance users’ experiences. The company shared a video clip that showcased a few convenient upgrades on its AI TVs.
The latest Bixby version is quite better as compared to the previous version, as its understanding of context, handling vague search queries, and even processing multiple commands at once are functioning efficiently.
In the teasing video, someone asks, “What is the capital of Vietnam?” Instantly, Bixby correctly answers back, “Hanoi.” Then the viva carries on and they follow up with “How’s the weather there?” without specifying “Hanoi” again. This showcases that without getting confused, Bixby is now compatible to understand the connection and gives the weather report for Hanoi.
However, it’s not a major upgrade, but an efficient one that makes interactions feel more natural. Apart from this, another teaser showcases superior search capabilities; it doesn’t need an exact title as it can now search based on a rough description. To describe this closely, someone says, “Find me an animation of a person riding a bike.” Instantly Bixby pulls up 90RPM coupled with more relatable suggestions.
Noticeably, if this works flawlessly in real life then it will result in finding content more effortlessly, especially in the scenes where you don’t remember the exact name of what you are looking for. Samsung also offers a multi-action command option that will catch your combined instructions without confusion.
Currently, these new upgraded Bixby options are not available on Samsung’s 2024 85-inch QLED 4K TV and there’s no official statement regarding the release date yet, but it will be interesting to see whether the new features will function as smoothly as the teasers suggest.
