Samsung seems to have fasten up the process of the current February 2025 security update rollout as the list is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, the company has now started expanding the update to more eligible regions, while currently, a bunch of smartphones are getting the patch in European countries.
Galaxy S21, S24 FE, A54, A34, and A35 Received February 2025 Security update in Europe
The February security patch has just been spotted for Galaxy devices, including flagships, the Galaxy S21 series, alongside others such as Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy S24 FE.
The update is available in Europe with countries including Italy and Switzerland, while the other regions should follow shortly.
Meanwhile, the February update for Samsung’s 2021 models—the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra—can be identified with the G998BXXSEGYA2, G998BXXSEGYA2, and G998BXXSEGYA2 version numbers, while the Galaxy A54, A34, and A35 units carry A546BXXSBCYB1, A346BXXS9CYA1, and A356BXXS4AYB1 build numbers.
Galaxy S24 FE’s February patch integrates the Auto Blocker feature
On the other hand, the update for Samsung Galaxy S24 FE models has been identified with the S721BXXS3AYA4 build number. But, the key highlight here is that this security patch brings the Auto Blocker feature, where right after the update your phone will not permit you to connect to any USB devices for data transfer except for using them for charging purposes.
Although the update is just a mere security patch, it, however, doesn’t mention the integration of any major features and changes; rather, it brings a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities brought up by both Google and Samsung collectively that were addressed in previous versions alongside certain performance optimizations in order to offer a more safe and smooth user experience while also protecting their devices against external threats.
