New Update Hits Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6 Ahead of One UI 7.0 Beta

Samsung surprisingly started delivering the latest March 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in its home town South Korea, while they become the first foldables to get the newest security patch before any other flagships.

Meanwhile, the One UI 6.1.1-based (Android 14) March 2025 patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 is now available to download and is identified with the F956NKSS2AYBD and F741NKSS2AYBD build numbers, while the update will shortly follow other eligible regions.

Although the latest software update is merely a security update that usually doesn’t mention any major features and changes; rather it primarily focuses on improving the overall device’s security and core functionality. The update integrates a lot of fixes that have been brought up by both Google and Samsung for all the security vulnerabilities in order to offer a more safe and secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.

The Update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and functionality, and brings certain performance optimizations that leads to a more smooth and optimized user experience.

Moreover, it looks like Samsung has kept Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6’s One UI 7 beta program on hold in order to provide a March 2025 security update as the beta build is scheduled for Samsung’s 6th gen foldables for today. It will be interesting to see when Samsung initiates the beta program for foldables.
