Samsung Electronics has been looking towards introducing more room for battery advancements into its wearables, applying an all-solid-state battery. Now, a new report claims that Galaxy Ring and TWS will also join the list.
As per the report presented by a Korean news outlet via leaker Jukanlosreve on X, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is all set to apply the all-solid-state battery, also termed as dream battery for the first ever time into its Galaxy Ring, by the 4th Quarter, 2025; however, it’s not going to be easy!
Basically, the industry source revealed that Samsung apparently eyes a target of applying all-solid-state battery prototypes to the Galaxy Ring for the first time in the 4th Quarter, 2025; to true wireless earphones (TWS) in the 4th Quarter, 2026; and lastly to the Galaxy smartwatches in the 4th Quarter, 2027.
Meanwhile, the All-solid-state batteries are one of their kind which apparently uses solid electrolytes, almost opposite to the lithium-ion batteries that use liquid electrolytes. The all-solid-state batteries eventually reduce risk of fire, are characterized by high energy density, and offers high shaping freedom.
Specifically, Samsung Electronics has already claimed at CES 2025 regarding the all-solid-state batteries, facilitating the supply of prototypes and expanding them till 2027 for its Galaxy products. Also, it looks like Samsung is aiming for more advancements that will make it a leading smartphone brand in the industry.
