One UI 8.5 may let users temporarily disable Auto Blocker from their Galaxy phones

Samsung’s One UI 6 initially brought down Auto Blocker, a feature that is meant to provide an additional layer of security against certain suspicious activities or other threats. However, it can be frustrating at times; the company appears to be working on a new setting to temporarily turn off the Auto Blocker feature with One UI 8.5.

According to a report by Android Authority, a new One UI 8.5 build has surfaced, where the latest string codes suggest that the users will perhaps be able to select to disable the Auto Blocker feature.

Meanwhile, users can even choose to allow Auto Blocker to automatically enable itself again after 30 minutes right after turning it off, and the remaining time before turning Auto Blocker on will get displayed on the page once the feature is turned on. At the same time, users will further have the option to skip the option of 30 minutes and can disable the Auto Blocker feature for an indefinite time.

Since the Auto Blocker feature protects Samsung Galaxy devices by blocking the sideloading of apps, and the option is enabled by default on newer phones, the addition of the ability to temporarily turn off the Auto Blocker could offer more balanced security and convenience to the users.

However, once turned off, users will not even look into the settings to turn it off again, but this feature offers more security to the users, as they can be worry-free from various external threats or malicious attacks.

Well, with various leaks and rumors coming across all over the internet regarding Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 version, it looks more on the upgraded side, where the Galaxy phones will be receiving more significant enhancements that were lacking in the previous updates.
